Medication Management
Dr. Coppedge is an expert in the interplay between sexual functioning and medications. Her medication management services include evaluating current medications for possible sexual side effects, including medications used to treat the following (and more):
- Anxiety
- Cancer
- Depression
- High blood pressure
- PTSD
Dr. Coppedge does not prescribe testosterone for replacement therapy (in cis-males) or for low sex drive (regardless of gender).
Dr. Coppedge can work with you to find alternatives to your current medications and minimize or possibly eliminate problematic sexual side effects.
As an add-on to sex therapy, we can evaluate whether medications would be beneficial in treating your sexual problems. Such possibilities may include pro-erectile medications (such as sildenafil and vardenafil) for erectile difficulties, medications to facilitate longer-lasting ejaculatory control, medications to augment sexual desire, and other medications tailored to your specific needs.
