Hello, I am so glad you’re here! I am a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in treating sexual issues and providing sex therapy. I aim to provide empathic, non-judgmental care for individuals identifying as sexual minorities. I believe there are millions of ways to be a beautiful, fulfilled sexual being. You know yourself best, and I consider it a privilege to learn more about you. I believe any identity is valid and acceptable, and that you deserve as much pleasure and sexual satisfaction as you could ever want.
I am passionate about dismantling sexual shame and shifting perspectives from a sex-negative view to a sex-positive view. About half of the American population struggles with sexual difficulties in some way, and in any situation where sexual difficulties intersect with sexual minority identity, it can feel impossible to find someone who is accepting or doesn’t push you to be more “normal.” You are a uniquely beautiful person and you deserve to be your full, true self!

Educational Background
As one of the country’s few psychiatrists who also practices sex therapy, I can provide unique and specialized services for patients who have been marginalized and oppressed. I offer a combination of sex therapy and medication management, tailored to both your personal and medical needs. While I predominantly follow an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach, I also incorporate elements of psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy, and supportive therapy.
Credentials:
- Medical school: Indiana University (graduated 2021)
- Residency in Adult Psychiatry: University of Chicago (completed 2025)
- Board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (2025)
My Background
I identify as a white, non-religious, pansexual, cisgender woman and proud member of the kink community. I am partnered and grew up in the Midwest within a lower-middle-class family. As a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine, the University of Chicago’s psychiatric residency program later brought me to the city I’ve fallen so deeply in love with! I began my residency in 2021 and graduated in June 2025. Additionally, I am enrolled in an AASECT-approved sex therapy training program, and have been treating individuals for sexual problems as a kink-aware professional for the past two years.
Population Treated
I treat 18+ individuals within any sexual minority group — including members of the LGBTQIA+, trans, gender-expansive, non-monogamous, and kink communities — plus those who participate in unconventional sexual practices. I also treat couples and individuals within various relationship structures (such as triads, polycules, or other non-monogamous relationships).
Disorders Treated
I can provide treatment for most sexual problems, including the following:
- Sexual pain (dyspareunia, vaginismus, vulvodynia, chronic pelvic pain)
- Erectile difficulties (erectile dysfunction, hard-flaccid syndrone)
- Early ejaculation and delayed ejaculation
- Orgasm difficulties (lifelong or recent inability, difficulty achieving)
- Low or fluctuating sexual desire
- Out-of-control sexual behavior
- Persistent (unwanted) genital arousal
I am trained in treatment of psychiatric problems and am authorized to provide medication management for a variety of conditions — with a particular focus on patients suffering from undesirable sexual side effects from medications. We can minimize or even eliminate those side effects by exploring additional medications to treat them, alternatives to medication, or through collaboration with your physician to form your ideal treatment plan. I also provide medication management for common issues such as erectile difficulties, early ejaculation, and low sexual desire.

I do not treat individuals whose substance use or trauma history would interfere with active sex therapy treatment. I also do not encourage or facilitate illegal or non-consenting activities. However, I can help individuals with these past struggles enjoy safe, consensual, legal, and fulfilling sexual experiences.

Ethics Statement
I follow the legal and ethical guidelines of all associations I belong to, including the American Academy of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and the American Psychiatric Association.
While I provide talk therapy and medication management, please note that I am not a certified sex surrogate.
